Louis - Queening Stool AV

The Louis Rug, Queening Stool AV, and Wall Paneling and Accent kits are 20% exclusively at Cosmopolitan from 27 June - 10 July.

This lovely queening stool contains 33 custom exclusive bento animations!  The stool is intended to be for HER so the first female sitter will be the top and the second sitter (male or female) will be the bottom.  The menus are separated by male or female bottom and are adjusted accordingly.

The stool features 20 fabric and 14 piping options as well as six woods, all matching the rest of the Louis set.  Use it where ever you need to be or do some serious pampering!

Louis - Wall Accents Decor

 The Louis Rug, Queening Stool AV, and Wall Paneling and Accent kits are 20% exclusively at Cosmopolitan from 27 June - 10 July.

This set contains a full set of wall decorations in both silver and gold. Use them alone or pair them up with the [Ds] Louis - Wall Paneling Kit Decor (sold separately). 

There are four linksets in the box.  They are as follows:

The 3m and 4m are the size wall they are intended for, these are sized for use with the  [Ds] Louis - Wall Paneling Kit Decor (sold separately) so that you can easily pop the decor bits into the frames provided in that set without the need to resize.  They can be used alone as well, in which case just rez out the size closest to what you need in either silver or gold.  

The linksets range from 12-14 land impact linked.  Unlinked they 26-27 Li.  Stretching can affect land impact of these items.   You can either unlink the whole thing or simply edit linked parts, select the piece you want and unlink just that bit from the rest.  When fully unlinking pay special attention to the cover blocks as they are fairly small and easily misplaced.  If you prefer to have the elements in inventory separately, simply unlink the linkset you want and take each piece to inventory, they are named for this.  Their individual names do not reflect the 3 or 4 meter heights but are otherwise unique for both silver and gold.

 

 All of these pieces are designed to align to back and there is a wall plane for easy alignment snapping.  If the wall will not stretch smaller make sure the Z axis is larger than 0.01.  Once you have it the size you need return it to 0.01.  This allows you to use Firestorm's align to back to get everything lined up without it being partly in the wall.  It is not necessary to use the provided wall but you can use it to line things up, link them, and then move them into the space you are decorating. 

The 10 long bits on the left of the rezzed linksets are for hiding seams, or creating delicate framing on your wall. Small cubes are provided to finish off any corners.  I provided them in a variety of heights to reduce unsightly stretching.  The textures will allow you to stretch a bit without looking bad, but it is best to start with the piece closest to the size you need.

The mirror is three parts and the frame is in two parts, so be sure to link them up before moving them.  

The four long slender pieces are set up to allow you to frame in a space so one faces each way.  The lighting hits the metals differently depending on orientation so they come with a reversed one so that all of the shadows are in the right places.

Louis - Wall Paneling Kit Decor

The Louis Rug, Queening Stool AV, and Wall Paneling and Accent kits are 20% exclusively at Cosmopolitan from 27 June - 10 July.

This set is designed to be as extensible as possible to allow you to frame your room with the columns and decorative moldings and frames.  It includes all six of the Louis wood textures:  Ebony, Amarante, Mersawa, Waxpaint (off white), Silvered (metalic), Gilded (gold metalic).  The  Ebony, Amarante, and Mersawa colors are shared by the Port Royal range so this kit will work beautifully with those furniture pieces as well.

PLEASE NOTE: Using this set is going to require intermediate building skills and an understanding of how to use the align and snapping tools for best results. 

There are two linksets included in this set, sized at 4 meters tall and 3 meters tall.  Begin with whichever is closest to your ceiling height for easiest use.

When you rez the linkset out it is all one piece and if you click the info prim on the ground in front of it you will get the texture option menu where you can set the color and the transparency of the frames centers.

ABOUT STRETCHING - wall prim and moldings

The wall plane prim is not required, but it will help you with aligning everything.  If you like your current walls simply remove the wall prim once you have everything aligned properly.  It is a seamless UV which is square at 4m x 4m.  The grid is there to help you align things and also to see how the texture will lay.  If you wish to use the wall prim, adjust the repeats on the texture tab of the edit window until the squares on the wall look square.  Then you will be able to use any seamless texture for your walls, or set the texture to blank and simply tint to your desired color.  So if you stretch it to 8m wide by 4m tall, the horizontal repeats should be 2.  

This is also true of the three molding strips.  They are seamless horizontally and are set to 4m so if you were to stretch it to 12m you would want 3 horizontal repeats.  At 2m the horizontal repeats would be 0.5.  The moldings are pretty forgiving so if you stretch just a little bit you should not need to fiddle too much.  I did the kit this way because it is much more efficient to stretch the wall and moldings the whole length of your room, it is fewer prims than having a bunch of segments and trying to align them without gaps..

  

Louis - Rug Rectangular Decor

This rug has thirteen textures on board, allowing it to coordinate with all of the Louis furniture line. Just click on the rug to access the texture control. 

If you like to keep your script count down, or not have the menu popping up every time you click... 

Once you have found your favorite texture, you can delete the script from the contents of the rug, or disable it. 

The rugs are copy and mod, so if you ever want to change it again simply rez a new one from inventory.
